About Christopher
Christopher Evans is a Clinical Psychologist with experience across youth mental health, university research teams, counselling services and private practice. His professional journey includes work with Headspace, where he supported young people with a range of challenges, and roles in academic and clinical research settings. Chris also contributes to impactful mental health research through his position at the Black Dog Institute, where he is involved in developing new approaches to understanding mood disorders and early-onset dementia.
Chris values creating a warm, safe and collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely heard and supported. His approach is grounded in openness and respect, working alongside individuals to navigate their difficulties while helping them recognise their strengths and capacity for change. Drawing from evidence-based modalities, he adapts treatment to suit each person’s needs and goals, ensuring therapy feels relevant, practical and empowering.
Chris works with adults experiencing a range of concerns and has a particular interest in supporting people navigating perfectionism, relationship challenges and major life transitions. He is also passionate about helping individuals understand and manage mood-related concerns, including those linked to anxiety, depression and neurodiversity. His work is informed by both clinical practice and research, giving him a thoughtful and comprehensive perspective on mental health and wellbeing.
What motivates Chris most is seeing clients develop confidence, clarity and self-understanding as they progress through therapy. He values the privilege of being part of people’s personal growth and appreciates the resilience and insight clients bring to their work together.
