About Vesna
Dr Vesna Trenoska is a highly experienced clinical psychologist. With over two decades of practice, her professional journey reflects deep expertise across clinical practice, academic teaching, and corporate psychology. She completed her undergraduate studies and Master of Organisational Psychology at Macquarie University, followed by a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Technology Sydney, where she received the Australian Psychological Society Clinical Psychology Student Prize for excellence in clinical work and research. Vesna later pursued PhD research focused on remote therapy and brief interventions for Generalised Anxiety Disorder. Her doctoral work was recognised with the APS Award for Excellent PhD Thesis in Psychology. Prior to transitioning fully into clinical practice, she spent over 15 years working in corporate psychology and management consulting with McKinsey & Company, experience that continues to inform her understanding of workplace demands, stress, and wellbeing.
Vesna’s therapeutic approach is grounded in collaboration, warmth, and evidence-based practice. She works closely with individuals to understand their needs, values, and goals, tailoring treatment using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, and mindfulness-integrated approaches. Her style is down‑to‑earth and practical, providing a space where those in her care feel supported, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. She focuses on strengthening coping skills, reducing distress, and helping individuals develop long-term strategies that promote emotional balance and resilience.
Vesna supports adults experiencing a range of concerns including anxiety and related disorders, stress, trauma, PTSD, OCD, and challenges associated with major life transitions. She has a particular interest in helping individuals who feel overwhelmed by worry, pressure, or high personal expectations—whether in demanding professional roles, caregiving responsibilities, or periods of life change. Her combined organisational and clinical psychology background gives her a unique lens on how work, values, and wellbeing intersect, allowing her to support individuals in understanding patterns, managing emotional load, and building healthier ways of navigating daily challenges.
Alongside her clinical work, Vesna contributes to the development of future psychologists as an adjunct lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the University of Technology Sydney and as a Psychology Board of Australia‑approved supervisor.
